DR. JAVED IQBAL

Javed Iqbal is a veterinarian with MSc Microbiology and PhD in Virology.  After postdoctoral fellowships at Royal Veterinary College, London and Veterinary Laboratories Agency, Surrey, UK, he joined the animal health industry in 2003.

 

First role in animal health industry was Regulatory Affairs Manager with Fort Dodge Animal Health.  Later he joined Novartis Animal Health in Switzerland as Pharmacovigilance Manager.  His last role with Novartis Animal Health was EU Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (EU QPPV).

 

Since 2015 Javed has been working with Elanco Pharmacovigilance in different roles.  His current role is oversight of Elanco PV activities in APAC, LATAM, Russia/Middle East Africa.

 

Javed is based in UK.

Dr. Meriam Maher Mohareb

She is Technical Affairs Administration Manager at General Administration of Veterinary- Pharmaceuticals at Egyptian Drug Authority since 2021

She Holds a bachelor degree from faculty of Pharmacy Ain Shams University-Egypt year 2008 Has been working at Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) formerly known as Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Affairs-Ministry of Health since 2009

She has been working in the Veterinary Registration Department in EDA since 2014 and Became head of Veterinary Requests Department in 2019

 

She has also excellent communication & presentation skills, ability to set & achieve goals, cooperative attitude, handling problems and issues, creation and development

Dr. Syed Abid Hassan

Dr. Syed Abid Hassan is founder of Bismil Welfare Society for social welfare works. He has done his Ph.D. in Chemistry, Diploma in Pharmacy, M.B.A. (in International Business). He is a Certified Lead Auditor for QMS (Quality Management System), by BSI (British Standard Institute) UK, and Certified Lead Auditor for ISO13485 (specialized in/for Medical Device) by IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditor) UK. He is the member of RAPS (Regulatory Affairs Professional Society) – US, and CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) UK. He has been participating as Chairperson, Moderator, Panelist, Speaker and Workshop leader in several national and international Conferences/Summits/Seminars and Workshops, in India, KSA, Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Singapore, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Canada, Rome and USA etc. He is Adviser and Technical Committee Member (TCM) of several International Conference Organizations. He has authored several publications on different topics, like Removal of Malachite Green and Congo Red from Waste WaterMedical DeviceRegulatory Affairs and New Chemical Entity in various International Journals/Magazines, in India, UAE, KSA, USA, Germany, Czech Republic, Canada, France and Rome etc. His book on “What and Why Regulatory Affairs”, “What you missed” and “Think it again” are soon to be available online. He is online trainer for many key subjects of pharma, like Medical DeviceRegulatory AffairsQMSNCE/NMEICHNeeS/CTD/eCTDVariations and GMP Compliance etc. at some E_Learning academies. He is managing owner of Bismil Academy for E_learning courses. He has more than 20 years+ experience of QA/Regulatory/Scientific Affairs and R&D. He has been working as QA/Compliance/R&D/Regulatory official in Jamjoom Pharmaceuticals Company since 2001. At present working as Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs at Dallah Pharma in KSA.

Dr. Mohamed Elsokary

Dr. Mohamed Elsokary is a reproductive and developmental biology scientist. He cared about and exited toward new endeavors in the field of applied reproductive biology. The main area of interest is In-vitro fertilization and vitrification of mammalian gametes and embryos. Recently he is exploring the molecular mechanisms behind establishing freeze-free storing systems of male gametes by employing the glycomics approaches and techniques.

David has more than 43 years experience in Pharmaceutical Quality Operations in a variety of roles of which the last 18 years included veterinary medicines initially with Pfizer Animal Health and now with Zoetis. In 2011 he became responsible for the Pfizer Quality team responsible for Contract manufacturing of Veterinary products in Europe, Africa and Middle East and transferred to Zoetis in that role. In 2016 he transferred from Manufacturing to Distribution assuming the role of Regional Quality leader for Supply Chain and Logistics & Affiliate Quality Operations. for Europe, Africa and Middle East. In November he has taken a Global role for Quality operations working with Distributors partnered with Zoetis.

David holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry from the University of Hertfordshire. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA Dip) from the University of Leeds and is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Chartered Chemist (MRSC CChem). He is British and lives in Great Britain.

Abdallah Sallam

Abdallah Sallam is a veterinarian graduated from Faculty of veterinary medicine – Cairo University with 11 years working experience in Animal Health  pharmaceutical industry. He has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Faculty of veterinary medicine Cairo university. He worked as Microbiologist at National Organization for Drug Control and Research in Egypt and he is currently Regulatory Affairs Lead for Egypt and Middle East at Zoetis the world Animal Health Leader.

Noel M. Joseph

Noel Joseph leads the collaborative project between the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on improving the regulation of veterinary medicines in Sub- Saharan Africa (SSA). Before assuming the current role, Noel led work on a number of projects designed to support regulators in SSA as the Head of VMD’s International Office. These included a project with the World Bank Group to support the Ethiopian regulator VDFACA and organizing training for other regulators.

Prior to that, Noel was seconded to the European Commission (DG Santé) in the unit with responsibility for veterinary medicines for over two and half years. During this time Noel represented the European Commission at VICH and the scientific & technical committees of the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

 

Before his secondment, Noel was the UK member of the EMA’s Safety Working Party (SWPv) where he was elected as its vice-Chair for two years and was its acting Chair for one of those. During this time Noel was a Senior Safety Assessor with responsibilities for the evaluation of human safety aspects of the dossier for marketing authorization as well as Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) applications. Apart from a one year secondment to the EMA, Noel worked as a safety assessor at the VMD for since mid-90s.

 

Noel received his BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Science from Kingston University and his MSc in Medicinal Chemistry & Drug Metabolism from the University of Loughborough and a certificate in Toxicology from the University of London. Noel is a member of the Royal Society of Biology (MRSB).

Dr. Yasser Mahmmod

Dr. Yasser Mahmmod is a Lecturer in food animal health and epidemiology at Faculty of Health Sciences (Veterinary Sciences Program), Higher Colleges of Technology (UAE). Dr. Mahmmod is also Assistant Professor in Veterinary Infectious Diseases at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University (Egypt). Dr. Mahmmod is an enthusiastic and results-oriented veterinarian, and researcher with special passion and strong expertise in farm animals’ health, infectious diseases epidemiology, and One Health. He developed a strong national and international research profile in bovine herd health management and dairy production medicine including mastitis control, milk quality and udder health, and intramammary infections epidemiology as well as biostatistical modeling and Bayesian analysis for livestock health disorders data. In his current role at the HCT, Dr. Mahmmod coordinates teaching and research on veterinary epidemiology, Zoonotic diseases and One health, veterinary professional practice, and animal diseases and prevention.

 

Before joining HCT, he worked as Marie-Curie Research Fellow at CReSA-IRTA, Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) on the association between animal health, infectious diseases, and the microbiome from 2018 to 2020. From 2016 to 2018, he worked as a postdoc fellow at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) on epidemiology and diagnostics of mastitis pathogens. In 2015, he did a postdoc at the University of Minnesota (USA) on dairy production medicine. Dr. Mahmmod has a Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) in cattle health and epidemiology. He has MSc in infectious diseases (bovine tick-borne diseases) from Zagazig University (Egypt) and DVM from the same university. Dr. Mahmmod is a fellow of HEA and a fellow of Blackboard Academy. Dr. Mahmmod got several recognition and scholarships such as the Marie-Sklodowska Curie fellowship in 2017, and Merit Scholarship fellowship in 2016. In addition to the award the State Encouragement Award (highest national recognition) in Agriculture Sciences from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (Egypt). He has more than 70 Publications in peer review journals and international conferences covering wide topics related to production animals’ health, infectious diseases epidemiology, and One Health.

Tony Simon

Tony Simon grew up on a farm in West Wales before qualifying as a veterinarian from the University of Cambridge Veterinary School in 1986. He spent 5 years in mixed livestock/companion animal and specialist companion animal veterinary practices in the UK before joining Pfizer Animal Health in 1991 as a Veterinary Advisor.

During his time at Pfizer Animal Health, now Zoetis, he has worked in the UK, European regional Headquarters and US global Headquarters in a range of veterinary technical and strategic roles. He is part of Zoetis’ R&D organization based in Brussels with responsibility for European Scientific Affairs and Pharmacovigilance. He is also a member of the AnimalhealthEurope and HealthforAnimals Pharmacovigilance Working Parties and an industry delegate at the global VeDDRA committee and the VICH Pharmacovigilance Expert Group.

She was a focal point for UAE in many notification systems related to food safety such as: International Net Work of Food Safety Authorities (INFOSAN), EU Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASEF) and others.
